Is SafetyWing still the go for health insurance? Realise their prices went up a lot last time I got it

They've never been. They were just always strong in affiliate marketing and paying for recommendations. ;-)

Are you looking for travel insurance (just a couple of months while still keeping home country coverage) or actual international health insurance?
If the latter then there are tons of legit, licensed and reliable providers out there: April International, Foyer Global Health, PassportCard, Now Health, Allianz Care, BDAE, ...

Full health insurance, not US. And, I don’t really have a ‘home’ atm haha.
I’ve tired a few of the other you mentions as some point, PassportCarr and Allianz Care, and they were poor… not sure what to say

They didn’t cover me without jumping through hoops. I gave up on claiming. I want to be able to go to a GP and get treatment and drugs I need. If I have an eye infection, I want it covered. If I have to get antibiotics because I had too much fun, i want it covered. If I’m paying partly it, might as well have not got the insurance.
Just examples. Not sure where you are from, but I just want a hassle free normal service like back in Aus.

Understood. The basic rule with all legit health insurance providers is: They pay for what's medically necessary and not self-inflicted. That's where "because I had too much fun" might disqualify a claim.

Important when you choose a provider: Make sure you understand their licensing and governing law (jurisdiction). There are a bunch of Australia based providers as well if that's a legal system that you trust. Don't buy from a company that's incorporated where there is weak or no consumer protection for you (referring to your initial question here).

but Squarelife is the insurer behind the contract with Genki, which means they're the company actually providing your coverage and handling claims decisions and payouts.

An intercontinental evacuation flight with a medjet after a severe accident can alone easily cost 100K USD. Why risk ruining your life when insurance is comparably cheap?
