Where are job opportunities being posted?
I canโ€™t find the channel Remote Jobs anymore
danamo 26d
It probably got removed because it was very spammy and hardly any of the advertised jobs were actually remote.
it was sold

Hey ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm building a bunch of things at the moment, including a full services advisory firm (with laywers partners from reputable firms), we take care of residency/citizenship/incorporations etc in quite a lof of jurisdictions

I'm creating a small platform to share free content and thoughts with people (to increase our rep but also because I genuinely think this content could help a bunch of people, especially in those kind of groups) but I'm unsure about the way people consume content today

When it comes to take a decision/do some research for your next move, do you:
- ask your AI for everything
- just spend time on social media and click on ads that relates (ie video formats)
- still read emails/newsletters & search on google

Just trying to see what would be the best distribution angle for this before pouring a lot of time into creating some content

Does anybody have connections to a appartment in Palermo for the whole month of October?

Thank in advance
Hey, guys.

Iโ€™m Juliana, brazilian woman, living in Florianรณpolis at Lagoa da Conceiรงรฃo. Now, I search about a place for travel per 1 month in LATAM. I visit Argentina, Chile, Colรดmbia, and like any new. I love contemporany art, museuns, libraries, cultural eventsโ€ฆ any tips?
I'd recommend Peru, there's lots of history and culture. I'm also brazilian from SP, feel free to PM me if you wanna chat about it :)
Hello, Iโ€™m new here; my name is Wellyton Daniel, and iโ€™d Like to mame some friends. ๐Ÿ˜„
brasileiro? :)
guys does anyone here work at revolut?

My company has a pretty good volume of clients looking for corporate bank accounts and we are looking to strike an institutional partnership
Also living here in the middle of the infinite rain
Colombia is also so. Just not sure about weather nowdays
How would you structure a year long sabbatical to recover from burnout while also attempting to build your own business?

I was initially thinking of doing the SE Asia circuit starting in late Nov/early Dec with Chiang Mai to start then Bangkok once the air in CM gets worse.

Then when Bali weather improves, go there for a month or two, and then either go back to Thailand or do Vietnam for a while.

Now I'm wondering if I should just start with LATAM for a few months before making the leap to Asia. I'd also like to get back into road cycling so places with group rides would be ideal.

I've lived in Medellรญn before but grew bored of it after 3 months there. I was considering a return to CDMX, Buenos Aires, or maybe even Sao Paulo (though I've only been to Rio in the past).
I'll also be applying for the DTV visa so that I can be in Thailand for an extended period so hopefully I get approved on the 1st application ๐Ÿคž
Yes ๐Ÿ˜„
Hello everyone I'm Smail I signed up couple days ago and I want to connect with indie makers here
mersad 17d
maybe drop in a month or two of japan in there ๐Ÿ˜„ But can you call it a sabbatical if you continue working?
It's to work on stuff I want to work on. To fall back in love in programming. So idk what to call that but it'll be without an income
hey does anyone have a really good app / ai / something for working out complicated travel itineraries?
i'm trying to look at all differant options plus using points vs cash etc - chatgpt not really up to the job
unaizme 16d
I want to travel, and these are my conditions. Please recommend some good places:
1. Iโ€™m an indie hacker, so Iโ€™d prefer a place with a strong community of builders and entrepreneurs.
2. My monthly budget is $400โ€“$500.
toufic 16d
I think to recover from burnout you just need to chill ๐Ÿ˜…go where you heart tells you and do not try to anticipate too much the future (besides basic needs), focus on the present, otherwise itโ€™s never ending
tstowx 16d
Anyone with experience living/working in Armenia? Is apartment wifi generally pretty good, or is it something I'll have to message ahead of time and confirm? any insight great, thank you!
the two are not that compatible my friend. no place with a strong community of builders and entrepreneurs is this cheap atm

your best luck will prob be somewhere in southeast asia. any of the latam and euro hubs you wont make it with this money as a nomad
minonomad 16d
Yes I thought the same, idk if in India you can find a place like this maybe.. but probably not many international digital nomads there
unaizme 16d
yeah thats the issue ,
unaizme 16d
Let me explain my current situation. Iโ€™m working as a software engineer at a non-tech startup. They arenโ€™t really aware of the capabilities of existing frontier AI models, so Iโ€™ve been able to use these tools to make a strong impact. The startup doesnโ€™t provide any AI subscriptions, so Iโ€™ve been paying for them myself. Fortunately, I recently won a Codex hackathon and received a $200 plan every month for the next 12 months. ๐Ÿ˜€
The real issue is that I donโ€™t have much work to do here, so I spend most of my time simply sitting around while building my own products in parallel. I want to be surrounded by tech people who are genuinely interested in building and discussing technology.
Now Iโ€™m confused. Should I quit this job, find a better environment while keeping the job, or do something else? I honestly donโ€™t know.
Are u happy there ? If you were, would you ask this? Some things are obvious if we look deep inside:)
minonomad 16d
Can you work 100% remote at this job and how many hours a day does this job keep you occupied?
unaizme 16d
i am not happy at all ,
unaizme 16d
no this is old bussiness guy he need in person , i barely work 1 hr in a week
unaizme 16d
he know that i don't have enough work, so help him in marketing and other sales๐Ÿ˜
minonomad 16d
Well if they pay is okay, you could keep the job till you have a new plan for how to support yourself while moving to a new place that fits your needs better
mersad 16d
no quitting, unless you can live off you business!
minonomad 16d
Would also recommend to build alongside keeping job itโ€™s the best case if you have lots of free time to work on ur own projects
unaizme 16d
The pay is good, and I'm building products here to improve my skills and learn marketing.
unaizme 16d
but the only issue is I can't find ambitious people here.
unaizme 16d
people working ,they don't have dreams
minonomad 16d
I think thatโ€™s the case in most countries Iโ€™ve seen my friend.
minonomad 16d
Iโ€™m from Germany and I can say that I felt the same about the place I was living before. I chose to move to a remote village in the mountains to build momentum myself and not be distracted or influnced by others.
minonomad 16d
If you want to meet ambitious people and get inspired I recommend to go on a trip without quitting your job if possible. probably Da Nang is a good option or Bangkok / Chiang Mai. Other people could maybe recommend other places too. Then youโ€™d have the opportunity to connect with people return back to your life and job and maybe maintain friendships from a distance. Might even be a good motivation to work hard and go back on your next trip :)
falconb0 16d
Unaiz if I were you, I'd keep the job, not spend too much time on it, and build projects on the side. Reason I say this is, for me, my dream is to make a living from indie projects. I actually quit my job to do so, but that was because my job demanded lots of hours.. if I only had to work an hour or two a day I wouldn't have quit.

I suggest you separate the goal of "making enough income to pay the bills" from "building your own products". If you can do both and not spend a lot of time on the former, that would be the ideal. I also wouldn't try to find smart tech people you can learn from at a _job_. Go to meetups if they have them wherever you're located. Meet people online. Don't expect a job that pays the bills to have those people. Some of the highest paying jobs have a lot of people who really are in the field for the money and not because they're interested in tech.

One other thing since this is Nomad List. If it's important to you to be able to work remotely, maybe before you do anything else, negotiate remote at your current job. If you're really a rock star at the job I don't see why they wouldn't accommodate you.
unaizme 16d
danag is is on my bucket list
unaizme 16d
Itโ€™s not really about working for that company. I genuinely love marketing. My main concern is that my most productive hours are spent at the office. Anyway, Iโ€™ll ask the founder if I can work remote
minonomad 16d
Good points!!
unaizme 16d
Yeah, I have to keep working until my products make enough money for sushi.

Anyone else here going on nomad cruise 18?

im in a similar situation, will soon be travelling to thailand. wanted to get DTV visa as well but they have recently made it harder to get.

Hi, I am an Australian who teaches English to Russian speakers around the world. I expect my field will mostly be made redundant in the next 5 years. Can anyone give me ideas of a skill I can develop in order to continue to live as a digital nomad/freelance?
dkarabey 13d
Hi Yasmine, I completely get the feeling. I think any idea or upskilling recommendation would be poorly suited as we donโ€™t know you that well. That being said; you have your teaching experience. If I were you Iโ€™d start taking mental (or physical) notes of everyday problems or rarer ones, areas with room for improvement; pick one Iโ€™d not get bored of working on, and start building a solution for that. Iโ€™d first test for demand by surveying some potential users. If you have someone technical you can team up with, you can turn it into an Edtech startup.

But IDK about you, this may not be for everyone & I donโ€™t know your constraints. Either way, best of luck. ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿป
minonomad 13d
I suggest to listen to or read the book โ€œWho moved my cheeseโ€ it helped me too. I think itโ€™s a time of change for most businesses and careers and we all need to take our best chance. With AI there is many new possibilities and opportunities. I think itโ€™s good to use the skills youโ€™ve built already and see if there is something connected to that that will have a high demand in future and not many people / companies will be able to offer the same or not on your level.
minonomad 13d
There is a certain level of risk or uncertainty involved as things are moving so fast but I think the biggest risk is not taking a chance and not evolving with the changes that are happening undoubtedly.

I keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you can also enjoy this process of change ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ
philalive 11d
where lol
Similar for me, itโ€™s a challenge but once you establish the routine that works for you, then you can do it anywhere. I stay 2-3 months in every destination. Which means that I sign up for a local gym and primarily use free weights. I do 3 1-hour workouts per week + 1 1-hour pool swimming.
freddyl 11d
Anyone else here doing nomadcruise 18 from bcn to Dominican Republic !
There's a huge Facebook group for the DTV. I just like the idea of having a home base and not having to do visa runs
hey everyone, iโ€™m looking for one or two cool coliving places EU/Australia/New Zealand for this winter. Ideally I want something thatโ€™s doable without a car and has lots of things nearby. Any recommendations? thanks
Hey everyone, I am on my SEA trip for the coming months. Would like to know if you guys know about fitness communities I can join/collab with. Starting from KL - soon to be in Bangkok, Bali.
Hi everyone, I am planning to visit Bali, seeking for the remote job opportunity. Does anyone know about the popular local digital nomad community in Bali that I can visit? Looking forward to your recommendations.

Hey Sergio can you please share the Facebook group?
If time allows Indochino is great for custom suits, ships in about a month

True. There was no Bolt a few months ago and also not in the last years as far as I know. The Yandex Taxi app worked.
Who else don't have any residential address??

I'd really like to know how you guys are working around address documentation when applying for visas, signing up with investment platforms, etc.
How long are u without adress?
do you need general one or from the US?
Is anybody using Couchsurfing for meetings or hang outs?

I don't know if it worth keeping paying for that
Iโ€™ve been pretty active on CS for some years. Started 5 years ago.

Since the new update I donโ€™t really like it anymore. I might cancel my subscription too.
I guess Nomadtable is the new thing for exactly this feature. Have you tried?
Oh
First time I hear about it. I'll try.
But those platforms should have many users to work and CS used to have a lot of users
My subscription is ending. But I'm going to southeast asia and not sure if it's working well there
I tried, wasnโ€™t working for me at all.
Nomadtable on the other hand has many users in SEA
